I was waiting for a cross-town train in the London Underground
when it struck me
that I'd been waiting since birth to find a love that would look and sound
like a movie
so I changed my plans, I rented a camera and a van
and then I called you
I need you to pretend that we are in love again
and you agreed to
I want so badly to believe that there is truth
and love is real
and I want life in every word
to the extent that it's absurd
I grease the lens and frame the shot
using a friend as my stand-in
The script had called for rain, but it was clear that day
so we faked it
The marker snapped and I yelled, "quiet on the set!"
and then called, "action!"
I kissed you in a style Clark Gable would have admired
I thought it classic
I want so badly to believe that there is truth
and love is real
and I want life in every word to the extent
that it's absurd
I know you're wise beyond your years
but do you ever get the fear
that your perfect verse is just a lie
that you tell yourself to help you get by
that you tell yourself to help you get by...
I've been on a big Postal Service kick lately. Dunno why but that's okay.
I am half way into Southern Cross by Patricia Cornwell. It's pretty good so far. OH YEAH!
I was at work tonight and I saw Jason T. I was SOOOO excited to see him. It's been a long while. I found out that he got married and has a daughter. He's a good guy. I'm glad he is happy. I don't think I ever saw him that happy before. I had the BIGGEST crush on him when I was in like 5th grade. He's 9 years older but it was soo much fun to go and stand on his feet and hold his hands while he walked around. I'd pick on him and give him a hard time. I miss being a kid. It was so long ago.
UGH! My little brother is sitting at the computer in the corner. And he looked over and said "what's with all the typing?"
Then he realized that I was updating my diary and was like "HAHAHAHAHA nobody wants to read about how you work at Fleet Farm or have a little brother."
Eh Oh well. whatever I'm tired and I have to open tomorrow so I'm going to head to bed. Good night world.
hi-and-byes
